Full-fledged amenities and state of the art facilities for Blood Components separation and fractionation catering to a wide range of haemotological requirements and dedicated services for blood transfusion to Haemophilia patients came to be launched, with the magnanimous contribution of the Sahitya Mudranalaya Family in the memory of their founders Late Shri Vishnuprasad and Smt. Bhagwatiben Pandya. Ahmedabad Red Cross has also been granted the coveted status as a Regional Blood Transfusion and Components Centre .

Prof.Balram B. Pandya Kidney & Cancer Patients Blood Transfusion Centre
Set up with the support of donations from the two daughters of Late Prof. Balram Pandya, this centre offers special blood transfusion facilities to ailing Kidney and Cancer patients. One of the recent additions at this Centre is the Aphaeresis Equipment which offers the opportunity to blood donors to donate quality life saving platelets to fight against cancer.
Champaben Vrajlal Chudgar Blood Foundation & Thalassemia Blood Transfusion Centre
Having initiated Blood Transfusion Services for Thalassemia Children since 1983, over the past 25 years, Ahmedabad Red Cross has by now adopted nearly 600 Thalassemia Children, whose only hope for survival is periodical and timely blood transfusion. Set up with the large hearted support in the memory of Late Smt. Champaben Vrajlal Chudgar, the spacious Thalassemia Blood Transfusion Centre at the RedCross Bhavan provides ailing Thalassemia Children round the year blood transfusion services, diagnostic care and support, Calfur distribution and iron chelating facilities. The Blood Foundation undertakes spirited promotion of the cause of voluntary blood donation through innovative media of print, graphic and audio-visual communication.
